Here are 2 clips - one of a very short version of the Nokia 2nd nature commercial I shot in Toronto a couple of years ago. There are much longer versions of
this commercial out there as well.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_xMtqNu5MdE For those unfamiliar with my Nokia commercials, here is some info about this particular clip: I was a hand double for 2 of the people in the video. I was the hand shooting cards for a gentleman of mexican persuasion and the hand that did the index spin with the phone for the gentleman of Asian persuasion... and yes, I'm ghostly white! LOL... they had to spray my hands the colors of the people I was doubling. (photo of me and the basketball kid?) The phone spin was an easy shoot and I didn't drop a single time, the vertical spin card move (from XB1) clip was another story. I was his left hand, covered by a green blanket so I couldn't see a thing, and he was catching them in his right hand while trying to stare straight ahead while talking to the guy in front of him... They edited me out later... it was a fun and challenging shoot for both of us but it came out pretty nice. We did go through a ton of cards though... they wanted bright cards so they thought that spray painting them was the way to go... which did work at all. We ended up with some yellow cards that did work decently. We had a few really great runs and the director was very happy. The cast were all really cool. The set was unbelievable! Everything that you saw in the commercial was built inside a studio.... I got to see some of it get built which was very cool. As you can see in some of the shoots, they had floating lights which I thought was rather ingenious! That was the first time I'd been on a set that large and complex! Was a great experience! I took mad notes, and got as much real world training in as I could while on set. They shot in real 35mm instead of digital, so I got some training in how to load film and lots of other cool shit as well. The other is a short clip I threw together for you of my favorite phone, the Nokia 8800 which is an AWESOME phone! I have 3 of them, 2 chrome, and a black one but I prefer the chrome one used in my Nokia spin videos for those that have seen them. It snaps shut like a zippo... it's heavy, and just a very high quality phone. I own a razor and some others, but the 8800 is my phone of choice for weight, and overall feel. My hats off to Nokia! In the 2nd nature videos, I used the "Queen" or the newer black model, however the chrome mother is still my all time favorite! The black is almost too sticky for me as well as the other skins. The Chrome I used for Nokia Spin and a couple of other commercials. I've taken that phone to hell and back, spinning, dropping, experimenting, and it's one badass phone! Yes the blackberrys, razors, and other high tech phones look nice and are practical and less costly... but you just don't see 8800s unless you are sitting in first class (I actually met several people with the same phone in 1rst class going to London...lol...) You'd have to actually feel this bad boy snap open and shut to understand the love... but make sure it's the chrome one! The balance is beautiful.
Admitably, it's practibility isn't as high as other much lower cost phones... but I'll still always love this phone... and you just can't help
to snap it open and shut when it's in your hand. Damn what a beautiful phone. Nokia sent me a bunch of other phones and even some prototypes that
weren't on the market yet to develop moves which I did..... but none felt as mighty as the 8800 in the hand. and yes.... I still have all the phones
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mEYl71FyHFE&feature=channel_page Here's some info on the new 8800s - They have more info and a cool video here if you like the 8800 phone: http://www.nokia.com/A4678506 But I'll tell you, for manipulating, nothing beats the solid chrome... slides beautifully, spins, sounds and looks wicked. Mine is a couple of years old... but is still solid! Enjoy De'

Pretty sweet! That commercial sounded like you had a lot of fun! The phone is very nice looking and some of the moves you did in that video were awesome. I
heard it click though....why did it click when you bounced it off your arm?
EDIT: I just noticed when you bounced it off your arm it closed. THATS WHY IT CLICKED!!! LOL NICE!!!

He closed it when it bounced. Look closely and you'll see it's an opener and closer of the phone. Very tight moves, and slick phone.
EDIT: saw your edit =P

lol.... yep, it's an opener and bounce closer. ;) Sounds just like a zippo and is why I included the sound in the video. The opener is easy since the
spring makes it jump in the air.... The spring has quite some tension so for the closer, you gotta hit it hard enough against the bicep enough to make it snap
shut while bouncing right back to your hand. The more minimal the hand motions, the better it looks.

I realy want a Razr but this phone looks awesome. Nice bounce closer too! my phone is a company-given one so it's free which is nice but it's SUPER
ghetto and old skool, it doesn't even have a camera.

Yes that's an awesome phone. I had a Nokia 8800 Carbon Arte. But I sold it and got myself a Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1. But I don't wanna use it for
manipulations..... too expensive.

I love that phone. I used to have the old Nokia phones, forgot what model they were but they were pretty bulky. I have the 3G iPhone for now.
