I got some emails about the Dino's Rhombus move, from Harcore and others... on how it was done before when they played with my Viereck... and that's exactly how Dino's discovered it as well. The "Rhombus" is a natural progression move from the Viereck... much like sliding a flipback down the arm and calling it a flipback spread or what not... I first discovered it years and years ago (before CTG) while CREATING the Viereck myself... and since showing the Viereck in 2002 and 2003, and publishing it in 2004 a ton of others have stumbled upon it as well... it's been named and renamed several times... but to my knowledge, never published. In the mag it says that he's not the first one to create it, just for the record... and it isn't credited soley to him... but since he indendpendtly came up with it, I let him teach it in the mag. Just some FYI for the others that stumbled upon it as well doing the Viereck and write me saying "I created this" - you better credit me not Dinos...LOL....

As more and more XCMers join the artform, more and more will start to discover and re-discover the same moves... on the same exact paths completely independent from each otehr... If 75 people all play with the same move and come up with the same new variations of the same move, who's to credit - especially if you created it yourself?? Who was actually the first one? It's impossible to know or say... some people think the first one to make an internet video is the one who first did it..lol.. WRONG! That doesn't prove shit as many people don't make internet vids..... The truth is that you'll never know unless it is actually published, and even then it's possible that it has been done by someone somewhere. I go with actual published material if everyone independently created it - not internet videos.... if they were inspired by someone or took it from someone, then they should definately credit that person.

I also think the crediting rules from the old days need to change... we are now entering an XCM world where a ton of artists are starting to discover/re-discover the exact same shit and even the exact same new shit... plus there are some very powerful creative sources such as the Ulmen4 that discover document thousands of moves internally and never put out a single internet video or photo of their creations...... and there is so much of it.. much like penspinning, or skateboarding... We tried documenting all the known moves for crediting purposes and there was so damn many of them... even just between Jerry and I it was more than 1000 moves... so I think there needs to be some serious change on creating/crediting in the very near future... trying to document track every little card move in this ever growing huge artform and trying to credit each person along the way is fucking nuts...lol.....going to "personal discoveries" was a start in the right direction.. but I think it needs to be expanded.
